RSE’s role is to work with the business owners to define their business/marketing goals and suggest ways to achieve those goals. We start with a plan, and then where appropriate (SEO is a great example) – refer to our proven business partners to fulfill these key functions. We continue to be the trusted advisor for the business owner – as they are now engaged with projects that are new to them. Here are key areas our clients engaged us to support their growth:
Marketing & Brand Review – We do an online and phone interview process on the exec team and the company and their key products to establish current feedback. Often the brand needs to be created and/or elevated and we leverage a purpose-driven process to develop everything from business cards to website to social marketing pages to signs and brochures, events, etc.
Competitive Analysis – Who are the clients competitors and how are they positioning themselves? How does our client effectively differentiate their company and key products? These analyses often highlight critical hot-spots of differentiation that can be leveraged with messaging, articles, ebooks, new products, keywords, etc.
Strategic Partnerships – Who are the existing partners, are they fruitful and who are the partners they wish they had? Are they providing means for the partners to be successful, and is our client’s company being a good partner in return.
Grass Roots Marketing – Where are their target prospects going online and offline. Creating a social media road map and including the relevant properties (i.e. Pinterest for Interior Designers makes great sense.) Establishing individual expertise for each of the execs which support the company expertise. If the company sells a tool for monitoring teenage texting, perhaps one of the executives is a parenting advice expert. Developing collaborative brands provides depth to the company and to the executive).
So, is RSE a full-service marketing firm? No – but we sure do support our small business clients to engage with these firms to achieve their goals.
